Our portraits sessions are on location and many times images taken during wedding formals can also be printed for the official wedding bridal portrait.Portraits can be printed in any size up to 24x36 as traditional photographs or canvas finish. This portrait is the result of editing in Photoshop and other editing programs. The bridal session schedule time was moved up to 1:30 pm to hopefully avoid the predicted late day thunderstorms. We were limited to locations throughout the park with good shade and backgrounds. To finish the portrait the park bench was removed, a low limb directly behind the bride's head was removed, flowers in the background slightly saturated, overall background defused and then grass was seeded in the thin spots and around the tree. The bridal dress, hair and makeup were perfect and all modifications were made only to the background and surrounding areas. Before and after editing: The finished image cropped to popular sizes.
During a bridal session which usually takes up to an hour we try to take a variety of images in several different locations. The hardest part is picking just 1 for the bride and for us as well as an example of our work. This is a link to the final draft previews from a bridal session at Duke Gardens August 2006. Duke Gardens. There were over 400 selections originally for this session. Different location - also printed into a photobook to be viewed at the reception along with the gallery wrapped canvas print.
