Yadkinville Resident Receives State Association Award

The North Carolina Small Grain Growers recently presented the James A. Graham Excellence award to Kathy Chamberlain of Yadkinville. LR Kathy Chamberland, Jim Graham and Sandy Ratcliff The award presented each year, is named after former Commissioner of Agriculture Jim Graham and is presented by the NCSGGA to one individual that demonstrates the same love, dedication and commitment to North Carolina Agriculture as he does. "Kathy has done so many great things for our association and North Carolina Agriculture, it made our selection process very easy," said Bo Stone, President. "Presenting Kathy with this award is just a small token of our appreciation for all that she has done for our association and all of North Carolina Agriculture", concluded Stone.

This year the Association presented the award to Kathy for her many countless years of service to the Small Grain growers and her continued support and assistance each year in hosting the National Association of Wheat Growers Foundation & Syngenta Women's Leadership training. Each year Kathy invites over 30 women from across the United States to tour her and her husbands (Lenuel) farming operation and then tops off the day with some good southern cooking.

Kathy recently received her award, presented by Jim Graham at the 13th Annual Joint Conference of the Small Grain, Corn and Soybean Associations in Raleigh.
